So I've been trying to get into other types of art lately, videos, 3d modeling, and other stuff. I know I posted a status update with a link to the art discord I made but status updates look a bit broken most of the time and I don't know how many people actually keep up with them so I figured an old fashioned journal would be best.

I made an art discord, for the kind of art I want to explore and make that isn't kebanzu related. I will still be doing keb stuff of course, but I have really wanted to get into other types of art as well, and I figured my own discord separate from that would be a good start.

If you've paid attention to my status updates (and a few deviations) you may have seen the videos I've been posting. I'm still pretty new to video editing and all that but I have honestly been having so much fun making videos. I really want to get more into making art videos tho, things like projects, how to's, time lapses, and tutorials. I feel like there are so many things I want to explore in art, and videos is one of them. I have a suggestions channel in my discord for video ideas, so if you want to see me try something or make a tutorials or project, feel free to let me know there! I know this journal is a lot of link sharing and follow me here and follow me there. Deviantart is still gonna be a place where I post my art, but I feel like its time for me to branch out a bit and try to grow on other sites and places as well. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried about the stability of DA, all the changes they've been pushing through without regard for their userbase worries and frustrates me. But I don't want DA to take me down with it if it goes under.

Alright, so first of all thank you so much everyone who participated in the Hub Leader Design Contest!! We got a ton of entries and you guys really knocked it out of the park with these, a lot of territories ended up with multiple hubs because we just couldn't help but add them in. Some even won for territories that were closed for the event! Overall though we’re just thankful for everyone who participated and put their hearts and souls into their entries, they were all beautiful and it was really hard deciding on winners, I’m gonna admit right now that this journal is gonna be a long one lol

Also just from me personally, thank you so much to everyone, I don’t think I could have ever filled up the map on my own with so many fantastic hubs and leaders, some entries made me tear up with how fantastic they were, and I just feel so lucky to have such a lovely community of people who put so much into everything they do.

1 Mythical forest

This design captured the insp sheet we provided so dang well, this guys is striking and spooky, and I love their regal silhouette. I can absolutely see him as the leader of the mythical forest hub, and I can’t tell you how much i just love his design, its just gorgeous, fantastic job!!

2 Forgotten Frontier

This keb is just the perfect embodiment of yeehaw, from the cute appaloosa markings to his little scruffy face to his cowboy hat with feathers and a wheat stalk, I love him. I can absolutely see him just out in the cowboy setting of the forgotten frontier. Fantastic job, yeehaw

2.5 The south eastern desert

This keb is such a cool keb, we decided to add a hub for them because the desert is big and the design is lovely so why not. I love how they just look like an actual desert with their cow skull face and desert sunset body, and little cactus flowers. This design is just really cool, and we’re excited to develop the hub that they live in!

4 Southern Red Desert

We decided to split this territory into two hubs because both of these entries were just perfect for the setting. We absolutely loved fen and tea’s design and hub setting with the waterfall city style buildings and towers on the coast. We also adored the full lore write up and how in depth you guys went for the setting and the culture, all the way down to the oasis stalkwalker and the little hum emblem. We felt like fox’s design would be a lovely contrast on the eastern side of the southern red desert, with their hot red sand design and lovely red desert setting. Both designs were fantastic, and you guys did a wonderful job!

5 Sunset peninsula

We have decided to choose no winner, as we didn’t feel any entries fit the setting the way we hoped they would!

6 Riptide Shores

Sorry for all the pings fox but also I’m not sorry because you put together some really killer designs. We loved this design that you did for the riptide shores, especially the little aquatic and land versions for the same keb. The setting you portrayed with your insp sheet was also stunning and just perfect for the location, just all around this design is beautiful and we absolutely love it.

We decided to choose this design for the garden meadow because it just fit the style we wanted to go for perfectly. We love the fun bright colors and charming accessories, and the worldbuilding and lore that was written up was fantastic and we’re excited to adapt it to the garden meadow setting. This keb is so cozy and charming, and absolutely fits the insp sheet we provided, he looks so perfectly at home in the chilly forested land, and like he’d definitely live in a cute little log cabin. You did a fantastic job adapting a design to the setting and making sure he had a nice forestry look about him!

We really liked aspects of both of these designs for the hot springs island, and have decided to combine the two for the leader design, you guys did a fantastic job on the both of them. I love the gold detailing and cozy looking fur and colors on Mercuriel’s design, and Azure’s design is wonderfully cozy and regal. You guys both did a fantastic job!

10.5 Hot springs hills

This keb is just adorable and the setting is lovely!! We had to put them on the hot springs island because the idea of a ski resort type of hub up there was just too cute and fit really nicely on the other side of the mountains. We also really like the design of the hub leader!! Just overall a very cute and charming hub idea!

11 Surfside islands

This is one of the winners that won for a hub you couldn't actually apply to!! I absolutely adored this design and felt like it would fit nicely on one of the surfside islands, so we decided to put them there!! I love the magpie design inspiration and the additional limbs they use for picking up and examining treasures is just very clever, overall a lovely design that we can’t wait to work with!

12 South Strand

This design and setting is just really neat, we felt like it would fit nicely in the south strant land area. I especially love the use of kebanzu lettering on the leaders scarf. The setting is also very cool, the idea of homes being carved into hillsides is really cool and especially useful for being sneaky in a land area that humans also reside. Fantastic job to the both of you!

I love this design so dang much, look at this pirate of the kebabean, I love it. I love the colors you chose and i adore that back leg marking, its stunning, and the insp sheet is just so dang cool!! I’ve been wanting a pirate hub and this leader is perfect for it. Wonderful job, this design is charming and i adore it.

This keb is gorgeous, I think you really knocked this one out of the park. The have so much going on in their design but at the same time are easy to read and are just very striking. I love their one aux cord tail, and their little floaty halo and stunning mec arm that also seems to be some sort of sound system?? Just overall very cool and fun design, absolutely love it.

This design is just really nice, we love that you went for a rural china style landscape for the environment and hub style. And I really adore the use of the golden pheasant’s colors in your design, it just comes together really nicely and has such a pretty decorative feel to it, very regal and leaderesk. Overall lovely concept and wonderful design!!

This entry made me cry. I dont know what part about it is my favorite but its incredible, the setting is gorgeous, the style of everything is so dang perfectly fitting to the world it upsets me, and the two leaders are so dang cool looking I don’t know what to even say? The horns are bow and arrows??? How dare you thats rad. The hub generator is a big shattered crystal??? Im losin it. They’re a stunning little observatory on that tiny island in the waterway???? End me now. This entry came into my house and kicked my ass and then added ten years to my life, saying you guys did a good job is an understatement, this is wonderful.

We decided to put this keb in the southern part of northern strand, we absolutely loved your insp sheet with all the spooky dense forests with ruins and moths, and your design matched the aesthetic you went for beautifully!! I love the weird line the keb is on between being a deer and being very much not a deer, just slightly unsettling, wonderful job!!

Love the idea that this territory has a bunch of overgrown ruins, and the hub leader looking like he might have been there when they first fell is such a cool concept!! This guy definitely looks the part and fits the environment perfectly, and definitely looks like a leaver, I love what you did!

17 Frozen tundra

This territory was one of the two that weren’t accepting entries but you won for it anyways, this design is just so cute and cozy looking, and we felt like it would fit perfectly on the western island of the frozen tundra, by dragons pass. I love the iridescent opal theme mixed with ice and northern lights. This keb is just darling and lovely all around, wonderfully done!

This keb is just badass, she looks exactly as i would expect the leader of a place called the wartorn wastes to look like!! I adore her roughed up appearance and her leg of scap metal. We absolutely love the idea of the island being lead by 3 sisters, and the way you broke up the parts of the land into the cliffs, canopy, and roots was just super rad! The lore is solid and interesting, and the designs are lovely, just overall you did a wonderful job!!

We decided to add this one in as its own hub because the idea of a deep sea underwater hub in the moon ocean was just super cool and unique. I love the design that you made, especially the deep sea glowing version, it reminds me of all sorts of deep sea fish and thats just rad. The insp sheet is also gorgeous, and I can’t wait to work on more aquatic based things to fit into this hub!!

We decided to break up the floral field island into three hubs, one to the north, one to the south, and one to the east, we love the designs that Renne, Sunny, and Annte did, and felt like they fit beautifully in the setting of the island and all the flowers. We decided to have Starry and Horizon’s entry win for the setting and dwellings, which were absolutely stunning, the idea of crystal shaped greenhouses is way too cool, and we loved the concept art that was done for them!

This keb is beautiful and we felt like they’d fit perfectly on south flower island with their muted tones and floral aesthetic. I love thinking about what kind of hazy lavender filled and wisteria speckled hub they might be the leader of, absolutely lovely job!

This whole concept and idea is fantastic, I love the idea of a bee hive themed postal distribution center type hub in the crazy cliffs of this area, it just fits so dang well. You guys went into so much detail with everything and we loved it!! The setting and hub leaders design are especially nice, a well deserved place for this hub leader!

This design wasn’t entered for this area but when I saw it I felt like it fit there perfectly, the idea of this keb living out there is potentially a salt and marble castlelike hub was too neat to pass up. Overall this design is lovely, the stained glass horns and marble statue appearance is simple and effective, you did a wonderful job!

26 Banded beaches

We chose this design for banded beaches because we felt like they would fit perfectly in the northern part of it by mirror cove, the idea that the area is a bunch of overgrown mangrove forests and waterways was just fantastic, and we loved it. The design you did is very cool, i love their shark look and their unique markings! They will make a lovely hub leader!

Although this was entered for the traveling trees territory we felt like it fit well in the western banded hills! We loved the idea of treehouses being made there as places to live, and lush forest felt fitting next to the tropical banded beaches. The design you did was also very cute and elegant! Well done!

Ok first of all to sunny and fen, how dare you, and secondly, this is lovely!! Finally, some good fucking grape design. In all seriousness tho this keb is beautiful and i love the idea of a vineyard hub in vine harbor, thats adorable, i forgot that place was even called vine harbor but its perfect and i love it. We decided to add this as a hub in the territory because it was adorable.

And Topaz this entry is lovely, I adore the idea of vast treehouse cities up in the treetops, very cool insp and fantastic idea! I also love the hub leaders design, they remind me of an eagle owl and thats fantastic, i also love their nighttime colors, very cool and all together lovely!

29 Traveling trees

I cannot tell you how much i love the idea of a leopard keb sleeping in a tree as it meanders across a meadow, just wonderful. Oh to be a cat sleeping in a sunbeam. This design is lovely, i really adore how one of their horns is wood and the other is a terrarium?? Thats very cool, and the wooden leg replacement is also fantastic! Just all around this is a nice design, and i love your take on how they’d live in neat little hanging pods like weaver birds. All around solid concept and design, lovely!

First i wanna say, to Ruu and Alari, this design and setting is stellar, I absolutely love the baba yaga looking keb and all their spooky swampyness, and the design for fogbrew hollow is so dang cool. We’ve needed a nice good swamp hub and this didn’t hold back. This design is lovely and I don’t think i’ll be able to get over that. And fox, we decided to have your keb be the leader of echo port, their design was so imposing and aetherial, and the thought of them being in change of a spooky hazy port city was too cool to pass up. Their design is fantastic, i especially love the thrasher lion rooster tail, very cool combo!! All in all everyone did a greay job.

33 Frozen island

We decided to have these two split the territory into two hubs, Pii’s viking keb leads the mainland and Dove’s deer keb leads lone island. Both of these designs are just lovely, firstly i love the viking aesthetic and style to the kbe you designed pii, the horns with small bits of celtic knots are lovely, and their markings resembling viking warpaint is very cool. I love their missing smokey eye, and broken horn. Just a lovely design and setting! And Dove your deer keb is precious, i love their pastel colors and soft demeanor. Their design is lovely and i think they’ll fit perfectly on lone island!

33.5 Northern ocean

We decided to add another sea hub in the northern ocean with this one as their leader! I love the idea of mixing narwhal and leopard seal style markings and aesthetics to create this keb, i feel like seeing them swim through and ocean would be fantastic and formidable to see. The design is unique and it fits the setting perfectly, fantastic job!!
